WYOMISSING, PA., Aug. 12, 2014 – Chalk it up to creativity! On Saturday, Aug. 23 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 pm., aspiring young artists will have the opportunity to create temporary chalk masterpieces by participating in a "Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest" at The Shoppes at Wyomissing in Wyomissing, Pa. Open to youngsters ages 4 to 16, this free event will take place on the patio adjacent to Charming Charlie. Rain date is Sunday, Aug. 24.
Participants will be provided with pastel sidewalk chalk to use for their artwork. Work spaces (a 4-foot-by-4-foot square) will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. Drawings should reflect the competition's theme, "Fall/Back to School." Judging will take place between 1 and 2 p.m., and winners will be announced no later than 2:30 p.m. Only registered participants will be eligible to win prizes and winners must be present.
Entries will be judged/prizes awarded in two age categories. In the 4- to 10-year-old age group, the winning artist will receive four (4) tickets to "Disney on Ice Presents Frozen" on Monday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. at The Giant Center in Hershey, Pa. In the ages 11 to 16 category, the winner will receive four (4) tickets to The Demi World Tour with Demi Lovato, Christina Perry and MKTO on Friday, Oct. 24 at 8 p.m. at The Giant Center.

Once registered via email, you will receive a confirmation email that will include tickets to print to bring to the registration table on the day of the event.
