WEST ORANGE, N.J., May 7, 2013 – Tracey Goldstein, Esquire, will serve as a featured speaker at the New Jersey Apartment Association’s (NJAA) 24th Annual Conference and Expo in Atlantic City, N.J. The seminar, titled “Storm Preparedness: Protect Yourself,” will be held on Wed., May 22, 2013, from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. at the Atlantic City Convention Center, located at 1 Convention Blvd. in Atlantic City.
In October 2012, the entire East Coast was devastated by super storm Sandy, with damages estimated at nearly $65 billion. The multi-family apartment industry was hit especially hard by this large-scale economic disaster. With a forecast for larger and more costly storms looming over the Garden State, Goldstein and a panel of experts will discuss the issues faced by owners of multi-family properties as a result of the storm. Issues relating to rent abatement, security deposit return and relocation assistance will be discussed. Insurance considerations, such as coverage and submission of claims, also will be covered.
Goldstein, a Member of Feinstein, Raiss, Kelin & Booker, L.L.C. of West Orange, N.J., is a sought-after guest speaker for a wide range of landlord/tenant issues, including fair housing, bed bugs, and residential and commercial evictions. She has handled matters in the New Jersey State and Federal Trial Courts as well as in the Appellate Division and the New Jersey Supreme Court. Her clients often include property owners, managers and developers.
