Respected Wound Care Specialist Joins North Bethesda, Md., Skilled Nursing Facility

NORTH BETHESDA, Md. (May 9, 2023) — Tuckerman Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in North Bethesda has announced the addition of board-certified vascular and wound care specialist Timothy Onyiuke, MD, to its clinical team. Located at 5550 Tuckerman Lane, the 140-bed center provides post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care.
Dr. Onyiuke possesses extensive experience within skilled nursing settings. He is affiliated with Skilled Wound Care and recognized as one of the company’s top providers.
“By incorporating a vascular partnership such as this, Tuckerman is leveraging established connections with top healthcare providers,” said Nikki Gachot, regional director of market development for Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports the facility. “Tuckerman is helping lead the way to enhancing progressive skilled nursing services in the region.”
Dr. Onyiuke, who has a background in general surgery from the University of Connecticut, completed his fellowship in Post-Acute/Advanced Wound Care from the College of Long-Term Care. He has a wide range of vascular and wound care specialties. “Dr. Onyiuke is widely respected for his expertise in treating and successfully healing challenging wound cases; the Tuckerman team is pleased to have him join the facility,” added Gachot.
