Riverton Enhanced Senior Living Campus Celebrates Military Service Contributions

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (Nov. 16, 2023) – Veterans Day, the annual recognition of those who have served in the U.S. military during wartime and peacetime, brings with it an opportunity to honor local residents who have proudly represented their country. For the Riverton Enhanced Senior Living campus in Allentown, this included celebrating 12 independent-living and personal care residents. The community paid tribute with a luncheon and recognition ceremony.
Riverton’s military veteran residents include:

- Joseph Grieff, Army
- Charles “Charlie” Heimbach, Navy
- Charles “Chuck” Huber, Marines
- Richard “Rich” Kreidler, Army
- Albert “Al” Lilly, Coast Guard
- Robert Neuman, Army
- Charles “C.W.” Price, Coast Guard
- James “Jim” Sciasca, Army
- Robert “Bob” Zenz, Army
Veterans Day is observed annually on November 11. The day of recognition is filled with local remembrances and parades across the country, as well as a national ceremony held each year at Arlington National Cemetery.
Riverton Enhanced Senior Living Executive Director Jennifer Simmers said, “We appreciate our veterans every day, but the holiday offered an opportunity for our community to come together and thank our veteran residents – Peter, Dennis, William, Joseph, Charles, Charles, Richard, Albert, Robert, Charles, James and Robert – for their courage and commitment.
