The Terraces at Seacrest Village Celebrates Military Service Contributions

LITTLE EGG HARBOR, N.J. (Nov. 15, 2023) – Veterans Day, the annual recognition of those who have served in the U.S. military during wartime and peacetime, brings with it an opportunity to honor local residents who have proudly represented their country. For The Terraces at Seacrest Village in Little Egg Harbor, this included celebrating 17 residents. The assisted living community paid tribute with a luncheon and recognition ceremony.  

Seacrest’s military veteran residents include:

  • Vincent DiRenso – Air Force 
  • Edgar Dykstra – Army 
  • Len Estrada – Air Force 
  • Clifford Isaksen – National Guard 
  • Guido Karcher – Marines 
  • Frank Litwin – Army  
  • Eugene Lonergan – Air Force 
  • Richard Neeld – Army 
  • Robert Reddington – Coast Guard  
  • Charles Schleich – Army 
  • Peter Trakimowicz – Army 
  • Robert Van Sciver – National Guard 
  • Curtis Walls – Army / Air Force 
  • Bill Winterberg (Paterson) – Navy / Seabees 

Veterans Day is observed annually on November 11. The day of recognition is filled with local remembrances and parades across the country, as well as a national ceremony held each year at Arlington National Cemetery.  

The Terraces at Seacrest Executive Director Kelly Reilly said, “We appreciate our veterans every day, but the holiday offered an opportunity for our community to come together and thank Richard, Daniel, Anthony, Vincent, Edgar, Len, Clifford, Guido, Frank, Eugene, Richard, Robert, Charles, Peter, Robert, Curtis and Bill for their courage and commitment. We are honored to be the place they call home.”
