Temple University ROTC Cadets Help Fountain View at Logan Square Celebrate Military Service Contributions   

PHILADELPHIA (Nov. 17, 2023) – Veterans Day, the annual recognition of those who have served in the U.S. military during wartime and peacetime, brings with it an opportunity to honor local residents who have proudly represented their country. For Fountain View at Logan Square in Philadelphia, this included celebrating 22 independent living and personal care residents. The community paid tribute with a luncheon and recognition ceremony highlighted by a visit from Temple University ROTC Cadets.

Veterans Day is observed annually on November 11. The day of recognition is filled with local remembrances and parades across the country, as well as a national ceremony held each year at Arlington National Cemetery.   

Fountain View Executive Director Steven Stefanelli said, “We appreciate our veterans every day, but the holiday offered an opportunity for our community to come together and thank our veteran residents for their courage and commitment. It was so meaningful to see our residents connect with the next generation of future armed forces members. It was a truly inspiring event.”
