Springfield Crossings Campus Celebrates Military Service Contributions

SPRINGFIELD Twp., Pa. (Nov. 16, 2023) – Veterans Day, the annual recognition of those who have served in the U.S. military during wartime and peacetime, brings with it an opportunity to honor local residents who have proudly represented their country. For Springfield Crossings in Springfield Twp., this included celebrating nine residents. The personal care community paid tribute with a luncheon and recognition ceremony.
Springfield Crossings’ military veteran residents include:
- Gerald Chreiman, Army
- Anthony DiFrancesco, Army
- Robert Frankenberger, Army/Air Corp
- Robert Hollack, Army
- Elizebeth Koster, Navy
- Eugene Pasternak, Army
- Paul Scheid, Navy
- Malvin Simpson, Marines
- Joseph Young, Coast Guard
Veterans Day is observed annually on November 11. The day of recognition is filled with local remembrances and parades across the country, as well as a national ceremony held each year at Arlington National Cemetery.
Springfield Crossings Executive Director Adrianne Stevens said, “We appreciate our veterans every day, but the holiday offered an opportunity for our community to come together and thank Gerald, Anthony, Robert, Robert, Elizebeth, Eugene, Paul, Malvin and Joseph for their courage and commitment. We are honored to be the place they call home.”
