‘Muddy Boot' Tour Gave First Hand Look at the Homebuilding Process
BARNEGAT, N.J., Jan. 27, 2015 – Youngsters from the Jersey Devil Patrol den of Cub Scout Pack 61 in Manahawkin recently had an opportunity to experience the homebuilding process firsthand during a "muddy boot" tour conducted by award-winning builder Walters Homes. Construction Manager Jon Parker (pictured) volunteered his time and industry expertise to assist the scouts with meeting the requirements for their Engineering merit badge. The boys toured a home currently under construction by Walters' ReBUILD Division; received hard hats, measuring tape and blue prints; and learned about the latest construction methods used to build homes in accordance with FEMA's new flood zone regulations.
