‘Muddy Boot' Tour Gave First Hand Look at the Homebuilding Process
BARNEGAT, N.J., Jan. 27, 2015 – Youngsters from the Jersey Devil Patrol den of Cub Scout Pack 61 in Manahawkin recently had an opportunity to experience the homebuilding process firsthand during a "muddy boot" tour conducted by award-winning builder Walters Homes. Construction Manager Jon Parker (pictured) volunteered his time and industry expertise to assist the scouts with meeting the requirements for their Engineering merit badge. The boys toured a home currently under construction by Walters' ReBUILD Division; received hard hats, measuring tape and blue prints; and learned about the latest construction methods used to build homes in accordance with FEMA's new flood zone regulations.
ReBUILD, the custom home division of Walters Homes, was created following Superstorm Sandy with a mission to build smarter, safer and stronger homes at the Jersey Shore. Buyers can chose from 40 single-family home designs specifically crafted for their property. All homes are ENERGY STAR certified, and offer a long list of standard interior and exterior amenities.
For more information on ReBUILD, contact the Ortley Beach sales center at (732) 793-0300 or the Beach Haven West office at (609) 597-6999. Additional details on Walters Homes can be found at http://www.waltershomes.com/.
