Developer Works with Nonprofit to Benefit Local Residents
BARNEGAT, N.J., April 7, 2021 – Walters has partnered with Family Promise of Southern Ocean County, a local nonprofit, to distribute 150 filled Easter baskets to residents living in the income-restricted communities owned and operated by Walters, an award-winning local developer.
“These donated gift baskets will make many children very happy during Easter,” said Jennifer Pampalone, social service coordinator for Walters. “We hope to continue working with Family Promise to make this an annual tradition for our resident population.”
In another community effort, Pampalone and Family Promise are coordinating a “Pizza with Promise” event, distributing pizza gift certificates to local families. Past efforts have also included the delivery of food baskets during Thanksgiving and Christmas to residents.
Throughout the year, Pampalone plans numerous programs and events for residents living in all 17 Walters premium income-restricted communities located throughout New Jersey.
Family Promise is a nonprofit which works with volunteers from faith and community based organizations in Southern Ocean County to provide temporary shelter, meals and supportive services to struggling families with children under the age of 18.
