Brick, N.J., Mayor on Hand to Honor Healthcare Workers’ Accomplishments
BRICK, N.J. (July 20, 2023) — Willow Springs Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center recently celebrated six employees who officially became Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). Brick Township Mayor Lisa Crate joined the skilled nursing facility’s leadership in honoring the CNA graduates with a ceremony at the campus.
Willow Springs, located at 1049 Burnt Tavern Road in Brick, partnered with LTC Career Training in Lakewood to help their healthcare workers earn their State of New Jersey CNA certification; the students completed their clinical training at Willow Springs.
The new cohort of CNAs at Willow Springs started as Temporary Nurse Aides during the pandemic. The CNA education and celebration initiative at Willow Springs was spearheaded by Andrea Garvin, director of human resources.
“The dedication and hard work of our CNAs shines throughout our building, and we could not be prouder,” said Elizabeth Ganley, director of community relations. “These front-line team members are true healthcare heroes. We are thrilled to see them grow from within our community and take this next step in their careers.”
Willow Springs Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center provides post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care. The skilled nursing facility also serves as a healthcare resource for the local community, offering a library of physician-curated content addressing many topics of interest.
