PHILADELPHIA (April 10, 2023)Fountain View at Logan Square in Center City is highlighting Philadelphia’s rich art community by featuring some of the best local artists the city has to offer. The resident-run gallery at the independent-living senior community will open its Spring Art Gallery on Sunday, April 16, with “A Few Good Artists,” a curated group showcase open to the public.

The gallery opening will run from 2 to 3 p.m., with no RSVP necessary; soft drinks and cookies will be served. The gallery will feature paintings by a variety of local artists, all with different styles.

Fountain View at Logan Square is located at 2 Franklin Town Blvd. The Spring Art Gallery will run through mid-June and is open to the general public.

A Lifelong Love of Art Inspires 99-Year-Old Curator

Fountain View’s onsite gallery is led by Junia Oliansky – who will celebrate her 100th birthday in June. Oliansky’s passion for art stems back to her roots growing up in New York. She credits her upbringing in a beautiful area on the Hudson River for instilling her love of scenery and art – a passion she cultivated as an avid museum visitor.

The Fountain View resident art committee, for which she has served as chairperson since shortly after moving to the community in 2011, works to showcase a variety of styles and mediums throughout the year. While Fountain View typically brings in the work of area artists, resident talent is featured as well (the community has its own art program).

At Fountain View at Logan Square, residents enjoy a fulfilling lifestyle and enriching everyday experiences in the heart of Philadelphia. The community features beautifully appointed luxury apartments, gourmet dining, an engaging mix of programming and activities, and a continuum of care on campus. Experience Fountain View at Logan Square by scheduling a visit and tour. Call 215-563-1800 for more information.
