Nov. 19, 2020 – Sandy Crisafulli has been promoted to chief operating officer (COO) at Caryl Communications, announced Caryl Bixon-Gordon, founder, president and chairman of the award-winning, Bergen County-based public relations and marketing agency with a long history of serving the regional commercial real estate industry. In this new position, Crisafulli is overseeing the firm’s day-to-day operations, client strategy and team development, while continuing her role as senior account manager.
Crisafulli, who resides in Kingston, N.Y., has nearly three decades of both agency and client-side public relations experience. Following her career launch as journalist, she served as vice president at Caryl Communications in the mid-1990s. Crisafulli subsequently focused on account management, writing and media relations as a contractor prior to her recent appointment to COO.
“From her earliest days with us, Sandy has been an integral part of our organization and a true leader,” said Bixon-Gordon, who established Caryl Communications in the early 1980s. “Her appointment to COO is a natural next step, and I speak for our entire team in saying we are thrilled to have her in this new role.”
A highly respected industry veteran, Crisafulli possesses extensive experience in both business-to-business and business-to-consumer public relations, and has been involved in numerous award-winning marketing and public relations campaigns. “Sandy is known by her clients as a top-level service provider who works diligently for them and produces outstanding results; as COO, she will be in touch with all of the firm’s clients and contribute to their successes,” added Bixon-Gordon.
“I am truly honored to step into this expanded role with a company that has continually provided me with new career opportunities – and adventures,” said Crisafulli. “Those who work with and for Caryl Communications know this is a company deeply committed to its clients, many of whom have been with our firm for decades. That longevity speaks volumes about how we do business.”

Ultimately, I look forward to helping CCI and our clients leverage this ‘new world’ and its possibilities for strengthening public relations and marketing communications initiatives.”
