Annual Halloween Celebration Offers Fun for Families, Kids
TAYLOR, Pa. (Oct. 19, 2026) – The community is invited to join Oak Ridge Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center for its annual “Safe Trick-or-Treat” celebration. The free event will be held on Wednesday, October 21, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., inside the skilled nursing facility at 500 West Hospital Street, in Taylor, Pa.
The Halloween-themed activities will feature decorated nurses’ stations where Oak Ridge Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center staff, many in costume, and residents will hand out candy for the trick-or-treaters. In addition, free snacks such as fruit snacks, candy, popcorn and chips will be available for the visiting children and their families.
Kids and their families are encouraged to join in the fun of coming in costume while enjoying an event filled with Halloween spirit. The haunted happening will include prizes for standout costumes.
“We enjoy celebrating the fall season with our residents and families in the community,” said Koryn Mascioli, administrator of Oak Ridge Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center. “This annual event combines Halloween fun and community spirit, making it a special tradition for everyone. Each year, we look forward to welcoming local families and creating lasting memories.
Everyone is encouraged to bring a pumpkin basket to collect treats. “Our staff looks forward to welcoming community members while decked out in their favorite costumes,” said Mascioli. “This event is part of our tradition of community engagement. We’re proud to offer opportunities that bring families together and strengthen community connections.”
There will be multiple candy givers, and the skilled nursing facility will provide the treats and snacks for free. “It’s also a great way to show off costumes, and every year we see very creative ideas.”
