Hamilton Plaza Retail Center and Portfolio Manager Denise Ciaravino Recognized for Excellence
NORTH PLAINFIELD, N.J. (Oct. 31, 2023) – Levin Management Corporation (LMC) accepted two coveted awards from the Building Owners & Managers Association of New Jersey (BOMA-NJ) at its annual fall awards celebration. The 2023 honors include “The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY)” in the retail category for Hamilton Plaza in Hamilton Township, and individual recognition for Portfolio Manager Denise Ciaravino, who garnered the “Retail Property Management Professional” award.
BOMA-NJ’s TOBY awards are the most prestigious and comprehensive of their kind in the commercial real estate industry. They recognize properties and buildings in specific category types that exemplify best management operational practices. LMC serves as managing and leasing agent for Hamilton Plaza. Anchored by an 81,000-square-foot WorldClass ShopRite, the 175,000-square-foot Mercer County shopping center is home to a mix of retailers, restaurants and service providers.
“The TOBY award is a testament to the outstanding work of property manager Christine Hanington and her team,” said Erika Toscani, LMC’s vice president of property management. “Hamilton Plaza has long been a premier local shopping destination and a dominant center in its marketplace. We take pride in delivering best-in-class service standards at our managed commercial properties and are honored to be recognized by BOMA-NJ with this award.”
The “Retail Property Management Professional” award recognizes commercial real estate professionals who have demonstrated exceptional standards and commitment to their work, and dedication to advancing the industry. Ciaravino joined LMC in 2006 as a property manager, was named senior property manager in 2009 and promoted to portfolio manager in 2021. She maintains a Real Property Administrator designation and has been an active member of BOMA-NJ since 2004.
“Denise is an outstanding industry professional who demonstrates tremendous leadership in all aspects of her job,” said Toscani. “She strives to provide the highest level of service to our clients and tenants, and is a respected team player and a mentor to both new and seasoned colleagues. We congratulate her on this well-earned achievement.”
For seven decades, LMC has served as a trusted single-source commercial real estate services provider for institutional and private owners. Its diversified, retail-focused leasing and management portfolio includes 125 properties totaling almost 16 million square feet in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states.
LMC helps its clients operate properties and create case-specific solutions to protect and improve value; it has distinguished itself as a firm large enough to excel in assignments of any scale while continuing to employ a hands-on, proprietary approach in every facet of its business.
