History and Background
LMC is an outgrowth of Levin Properties, a development firm founded in 1952, which created an extensive portfolio of retail properties throughout the nation (including New Jersey’s first open-air shopping center). From these roots, LMC evolved to deliver a full range of third-party services to other retail property owners beginning in the 1980s. The company experienced consistent growth and expansion into new geographic areas. Today, LMC’s clients are institutional, fiduciary and individual owners with retail, office and industrial properties.
LMC’s management style employs a hands-on, proactive strategy to leasing and operating properties. This proprietary approach has distinguished the firm and enabled many centers to remain market leaders for decades.

Research
LMC has established itself as a retail and retail real estate industry thought leader. Its Retail Sentiment Surveys gauge the strength of the retail industry from a street-level perspective. The firm polls the store managers of its 1,100+ retail tenants three times annually, gathering information on current sales and traffic numbers, and on performance expectations. The surveys also ask timely questions about hiring patterns, evolving technologies, key events and other socio-economic factors that may be influencing progress.
