SOUTH ORANGE, N.J., Oct. 20, 2014 – Area residents are invited to Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel (TSTI) in South Orange to participate in the Reform synagogue's free "Mindfulness Meditation and Chant" group. Participants experience Hebrew chant and mindfulness meditation using simple melodies, breath and awareness exercises that relax the mind, open the heart and create inner calm. The program is held on the first and third Wednesday of the month at 11 a.m. and is led by Beth Sandweiss. No meditation experience is necessary. RSVP required to thorwitz@tstinj.org. Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel is a vibrant Reform congregation located at 432 Scotland Road in South Orange, N.J., that offers Jewish preschool, Religious school, teen programs, lifelong learning for adults and a full complement of religious services and cultural programs each month.
