SOUTH ORANGE, N.J., January 8, 2020 – The Iris Family Center for Early Childhood Education—the community preschool at Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel (TSTI) in South Orange—will hold an open house on Sunday, January 26 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Families interested in learning about the preschool’s play-based programming are welcome to attend, tour the spaces, and meet with the school director and faculty. The preschool is located at 432 Scotland Road.
TSTI’s resident song leader, Shawn Fogel, will be there to lead children in song and dance. Children will also be encouraged to play and create during the event. Information about the preschool’s flexible program options, including early drop off, enrichment classes and extended aftercare will be available.
The preschool’s programming is based on the Reggio Emilia concept of student-centered, self-directed, experiential learning. Youngsters are encouraged to explore various learning centers and to create and communicate in a stress-free, stimulating environment. Full information about the Iris Family Center for Early Childhood Education is available at https://www.tsti.org/early-childhood-center.
