Store Will Provide Wide Range of Free Nutrition Services and Programs to Customers and Community Organizations
EMERSON, N.J., Nov. 9, 2016 – Inserra Supermarkets has announced the appointment of Kelsey Lubeck, R.D., as the retail dietitian at ShopRite of Emerson in Emerson, N.J. In this new role, Lubeck will lead the store’s wide range of free nutrition counseling and event programming for customers and local community organizations.
“We are thrilled to welcome Kelsey to our Inserra Supermarkets family,” said Lindsey Inserra, vice president of marketing and corporate retail health and wellness of Inserra Supermarkets. “As we celebrate the 10-year anniversary of ShopRite’s In-store Dietitian Program, we continue to expand our nutrition counseling and wellness programming for our customers, associates and the communities we serve.”
Prior to joining Inserra, Lubeck served as a Clinical Dietitian at Nyack Hospital, where her responsibilities included the medical intensive care and cardiology units where she specialized in heart disease and diabetes counseling. Previously, she was the Clinical Dietitian for the Morning Side House Nursing Home as well.
A longtime resident of Nanuet, N.Y., Lubeck now resides in Pearl River, N.Y. In 2012, she graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York, College at Oneonta and she completed her dietetic internship with Lehman College. She is a member of the Westchester Rockland Dietetic Association and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
The family-owned Inserra Supermarkets chain is well known for its focus on the health and wellness of its customers and associates. Each month, dietitians at Inserra’s ShopRite supermarkets located throughout New Jersey and New York State lead a series of free nutrition and wellness events. In addition to small group and one-on-one nutrition counseling, the stores host recipe demonstrations and pantry makeover seminars as well as in-store health screenings and advice. Cooking classes are offered for a small fee.
ShopRite of Emerson is located at 425 Old Hook Road in Emerson, N.J. In addition to developing a full roster of store-based wellness programs, ShopRite’s in-store dietitians can serve as guest speakers/instructors at wellness events hosted by local organizations.
