Campers Will Learn, Share, Discover and Make New Friends from the Safety of Home
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J., June 5, 2020 – Having successfully met the challenge of moving the entire communal experience online this spring, Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel (TSTI) is now offering a realistic summer camp experience for children in preschool through second grade with TSTI Camp@Home. The innovative program, which begins on Monday, June 15, will provide opportunities for making new friends and connections as youngsters sing, dance and learn alongside their “bunkmates.”
TSTI Camp@Home is a one-click experience that keeps youngsters engaged without having to log on or off, as they move through the activities with fellow campers and their counselors. The 10-week program is offered in flexible one-week modules, Monday through Friday, with regular programming and special activities. Children can participate for a full morning, from 9:00 to 11:15 a.m. or just for Sing-A-Long with Shawn from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. There will be special pop-up events for older children offered throughout the camp season as well.

“We know how important camp is to a child’s summer,” said Bela Barbosa, director of Camp@Home. “Our campers will connect, engage and be part of a loving, caring community as they play games, share stories and more, all from the safety of their homes.”
- Camp will start with campers and counselors gathered together for music.
- Bunk activities such as Lego Masters, American Sign Language, Animal Action, Wonder Wednesdays, Dance Party, and All About … will follow.
- Campers will break for a mid-morning snack and story time with counselors.
- The day will end with everyone coming together for Mindful Movement and Breathing.
